Nurgburgring 2023

Hi all. New to Northwest Stangs (live in Scotland!) but was invited by Paul to share this event I created for Scottish Mustang Owners. Some of the finer details may be tweaked, I'll be looking at Newcastle to Amsterdam as an alternative ferry over but the fares and timetable for next year aren't up yet. It's a lot less driving for us on UK side and only about 20km difference on the Euro side. Everything is booked for 8 cars just now, 9 wouldn't require much tweaking the accommodation and we have 4 confirmed already. So if more than 5 of you fine people want to come, please make sure you're 100% and I'll research around for other accommodation for us all and adjust it. It's very easy to make this thing cost thousands, but I'm keen to keep it accessible.

Everything below is copied and pasted from the SMO group, the miles below are actually a bit high as it includes to/from Scotland and I also shortened it a little bit since first creation, but all the routes/stages/accommodation will be in a pinned post.

I've planned this to be very driving orientated, and as budget friendly as possible. Spa run an open track event a few times a year. The first one next year is 8th May, so this trip is based around that, and then I thought it would be fun to do the Nurburgring the day after as its only 1.5 hours away from Spa. After Nurburgring, a "back roads" drive to Le Mans to visit the museum (no driving on track available there), stopping half way and avoiding tolls/motorways, we can discover what that part of France has to throw at us for driving roads! I'll post all the accommodation I've picked, routes, times, dates etc. I've based this around 8 cars, each with just a driver. If partners etc want to come it should be easy enough to tweak as I've made it so everyone has their own rooms at each place. All the accommodation has been specifically picked as they have parking on site. It works out at about £850 each including the ferry both ways and all the accommodation. Obviously fuel will be a big cost, the entire trip is about 1650 miles (not including track time). We'd likely have to all book the ferry individually, I didn't see a group option for multiple cars, but I can check that if the interest actually exists. The accommodation is all booked together so I'd have to book it all and can get the money transferred back from everyone. Most of it is able to be paid on actual arrival anyway.
